Planting and Storing Caladium Bulbs

You can plant in sun or shade in a well drained location. Partial shade is best. Bulbs should be covered with one or two inches of soil. Water frequently to keep soil moist, but never soggy. Soil MUST be WARM and MOIST for them to germinate rapidly. A light application of any good garden fertilizer two or three times during the growing season is sufficient.

If storage is attempted for the Winter months, bulbs should be dug before cold weather and spread in flats in a location with good ventilation and temperature of 70º to 80º. Remember, warmth and moisture are Caladiums’ best friend.

Providing I want a full display how close can I plant the bulbs to each other? I also order from Caladium Depot and have always received the highest quality.
